This series of Production, Quality and Safety Large Digital Displays have endless combinations for displaying important information to employees and management alike with real-time data as it happens from the plant floor.
Plant wide viewing with digit sizes from 2.25” to 18” as well networking into Control Rooms and Management Offices etc. via 'slave' displays is easily achieved to ensure all relevant employees are kept fully informed.
PC driven software is supplied as standard with all these displays
Please Note - There Is No Standard Production, Quality Control or Safety Large Digit Display.
These Large Digital Displays can be completely customised. The Customer defines –
- Lettering / legends
- Number of lines of text
- Number of Digits
- Size of Digits
Typical Operation of a Production Large Digit Display – MODEL DMPD
The top line is set as a fixed value / number or can be advanced by a specified value at a specified time : Example - Count by 1 every 10 seconds
The middle line advances by one for every contact closure ( photo-cell, limit switch, contact closure, PLC etc. )
The bottom line internally calculates the difference.

The top line advances by one for every contact closure or advances by a specified value at a specified time : example count 2 every minute.
The middle line advances by one for every contact closure.
The bottom line internally calculates the percentage difference.

All lines advance by one or a customer defined number automatically.
Each line is preset serially via PC with Windows based software.
Network Communication
An Ethernet card option is available with these Large Digit Displays that will easily add it to an existing network. Each display can be given an individual IP address and then accessed from anywhere in the plant, control room or office.
Two Control Versions are Available
Serial Control :
- All three lines are addressable and sent data via RS-485 serial input
- PC based software and protocol is provided at no extra cost of the large digital display
- A terminal block is provided for the device wiring
Serial / Contact Closure :
- The top line is serial RS-485 input, a terminal block is provided for device wiring
- The middle line counts up by a specified number driven from the customers PLC, Switch, Contact Closure etc.
- The bottom line value is internally calculated and will display the numeric difference or percentage difference between the tope two lines
Dimensions and Enclosures
Standard displays are supplied for Indoor use and in IP55 enclosures. Dimensions are dependent on the digit size, number of digits and number of lines.
All enclosures are for Wall or Suspension mounting only.
Outdoor enclosures are available on request to IP66.
